Beef Steak Sauce

red wine, divided

vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS
- Heat oil in medium saucepan; add onion.
- Sauté 1-2 minutes or until softened.
- Stir in broth, 1/4 cup (250 ml) wine and thyme; bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water or wine and stir into saucepan with juices from roasting pan.
- Bring to boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
